Welcome to Edition 2 of our 2015 news updates. If you did not receive edition 1 2015 in April but would like to see it, please click here.

The last few months have seen us very busy across the region, often with engagements in 'difficult' sectors and with very hard to survey target groups. In just the last 3 months alone, we have talked to Chefs in the Philippines, Financial Services Decision Makers in Hong Kong and Singapore, Government level Decision Makers across many countries, Heavy Excavator Buyers in Japan, Industrial Equipment Operators in Indonesia, Lab Scientists in China, Pig Farmers in Korea, Tribal People in India, and of course 'normal' consumers and b2b targets as well.

In local news some of the more noteworthy activities have included:

In Research Pacific Indonesia we had very recently completed a very urgent project at the new Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, providing our client with data from a representative sample of airline passengers in just five days turnaround from commission to delivery.

Everyone worldwide has heard of the MERS outbreak in South Korea which fortunately didn't affect directly any of the Research Pacific Korea team or our local clients. Few people would have heard though of the severe outbreak of bovine foot & mouth disease around the same period. Unfortunately this coincided precisely with a client request to interview pig farmers.

Despite the issues of access and some fieldworkers natural concerns, we were able conduct this already technically difficult study only slightly behind the intended schedule.  More than 50 of the leading pig farmers and integrators were interviewed face to face at their farms over a 6 week period.

In Research Pacific China, our local strategic operations partner's offices in central Shanghai have just been given a major make-over.

In addition to the focus group studio located there for many years, we now can offer clients large in-house multi-purpose spaces for product testing, display walls, food service, multiple CAPI stations and more. Client observation is possible for all rooms and all types of tests.

In Research Pacific India, we have been making more frequent use of eye cameras, for package testing primarily, but also shopper experience work recently. We find this to be an area of growing interest to both local and international clients and are currently gearing up our offer accordingly. In collaboration with our international partners, we have now trained researchers in our New Delhi HQ to set up and manage such tests.

At the time of writing, our CEO is also gearing up for the AGM of The Research Alliance, which The Research Pacific Group belongs and of which he is currently the Chairperson, so we are keeping this edition of our news short, and will be back soon with Edition 3!

Meantime for any general enquiries or for a quotation, or just for advice on how to approach an engagement in the region, feel free to approach us at any time.
